Onion Bagels by Au Naturale Nutrition

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup golden flax meal (I always use sprouted flax meal)

  • 1/4 cup coconut flour (find it here)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp onion powder (find organic onion powder here)

  • 1 tsp garlic salt (find organic garlic salt here)

  • 6 eggs

  • 1/4 cup melted butter, ghee, or coconut oil  (Try Tropical Traditions coconut oil)



  • minced onion flakes, sesame seeds, caraway seeds, and poppy seeds (to sprinkle on top)


Directions: (Makes 6)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease your donut pan very well - all around the curved surfaces. (Try this olive oil spray.)

  3. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Add in the eggs and ghee.  Stir.

  5. Scoop batter into the donut pan. (Use about 1/3 cup of the batter for each of the 6 bagels.)

  6. Sprinkle the onion flakes, sesame seeds, caraway seeds, and poppy seeds on top of the batter.  Put on as much as you like!

  7. Bake for 30 minutes.

  8. Allow the bagels to cool.


Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Source
